National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

NAMI is a great resource for those who are directly struggling with mental illness and/or those who are impacted with having someone in their life who struggles with mental illness.

NAMI offers a variety of educational information, including resources within the community and local support groups.

211 Helpline Center

The 211 HelpLine Center is a great resource for those who may need guidance and support in seeking resources to further meet their day-to-day life and mental health needs. 211 directs callers and website visitors to necessary resources within the community.

Within the 211 HelpLine Center, there is direct access for Suicide Prevention & Crisis Support within South Dakota. Specially trained individuals are available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week for those who are experiencing a mental health crisis. They also offer Teen Crisis Texting.

Make It Ok

Make It Ok is a resource to help end the stigma of mental illness. Within the website, visitors will have access to tools to help with speaking with a person who has a mental illness, as well as educational information on mental illness, including podcasts and resources for a variety of groups and individuals.

Face It TOGETHER

Face It TOGETHER is focused on attaining wellness for those struggling with addiction. They offer personal coaches to meet and best support individuals facing addiction and/or those whose loved ones are struggling with addiction. Face It TOGETHER also offers a variety of resources pertaining to addiction, including small peer group opportunities in South Dakota offered in-person or virtually via Zoom
